Student Code of Conduct

1. Purpose and Scope

This Student Code of Conduct ("Code") establishes the behavioral and academic standards expected of all students using the Nyson Learning Academy Platform ("Platform"). It applies to all student activities on the Platform, including:

• Course participation and learning activities
• Assessments, examinations, and tests
• Discussion forums and community interactions
• Live classes and recorded sessions
• Coding exercises and projects
• Communication with teachers, mentors, and peers

2. Behavioral Standards

2.1 Respectful Behavior

Students must:

• Treat all members of the community — teachers, mentors, evaluators, and fellow students — with respect and dignity
• Value diverse perspectives and backgrounds
• Use professional and courteous language in all interactions
• Be constructive in feedback and discussions

2.2 Anti-Harassment Policy

The following are strictly prohibited:

• Bullying: Any repeated, intentional behavior aimed at intimidating, degrading, or harming another person
• Harassment: Unwanted conduct that creates an intimidating, hostile, or offensive environment
• Discrimination: Treating someone unfavorably based on race, gender, religion, disability, age, or other protected characteristics
• Threats: Any language or behavior that threatens physical or psychological harm
• Stalking: Repeated unwanted contact or attention toward another person

3. Academic Integrity

3.1 Honesty Standards

Students must maintain the highest standards of academic honesty:

• No Cheating: Do not use unauthorized materials, aids, or assistance during assessments
• No Plagiarism: Submit only your own original work. Properly attribute all sources when required
• No Exam Misconduct: Do not share exam questions or answers with others
• No Contract Cheating: Do not have someone else complete your assessments or projects

3.2 Assessment Integrity

During examinations and assessments:

• Complete assessments independently unless collaboration is explicitly permitted
• Do not access external resources during closed-book exams
• Do not attempt to bypass proctoring or monitoring systems
• Report any system vulnerabilities that could compromise exam integrity

3.3 AI Usage Policy

Students must:

• Use AI tools only when explicitly permitted by the instructor
• Properly disclose AI-generated content when required
• Never use AI tools during proctored examinations
• Understand that over-reliance on AI tools undermines learning outcomes

4. Communication Standards

All communication on the Platform must be:

• Respectful: Use polite and professional language
• Relevant: Keep discussions on-topic and meaningful
• Appropriate: Avoid offensive, vulgar, or inappropriate content
• Honest: Do not misrepresent yourself or spread false information

The following are strictly prohibited:

• Spamming or flooding discussion boards with irrelevant content
• Posting advertisements or commercial solicitations
• Sharing inappropriate, offensive, or harmful content
• Impersonating teachers, staff, or other students
• Sharing inappropriate images, links, or files

5. Responsible Platform Use

5.1 Account Responsibility

• Keep your login credentials secure and confidential
• Do not share your account with anyone
• Report suspicious activity on your account immediately
• Use only your own account for all Platform activities

5.2 Content Protection

• Do not download, screen-record, or capture course content without permission
• Do not share course materials on external platforms or services
• Do not attempt to reverse-engineer or extract Platform content
• Respect the intellectual property rights of the Company and instructors

5.3 Technical Integrity

• Do not attempt to hack, exploit, or compromise Platform security
• Do not use automated tools or bots on the Platform
• Do not introduce malware, viruses, or harmful code
• Report any security vulnerabilities to the support team

6. Disciplinary Actions

Violations of this Code may result in the following actions, depending on severity:

• Certificate Revocation: Previously issued certificates may be revoked
• Grade Penalties: Assessment scores may be reduced or invalidated
• Enrollment Cancellation: Enrollment in courses may be terminated without refund
• Parental Notification: Parents/guardians may be notified for minor students
• Legal Referral: Serious violations may be referred to law enforcement

7. Appeals Process

If you believe a disciplinary action was taken in error:

1. Submit Appeal: Email support_nyslearners@gmail.com within 14 days of the action
2. Provide Evidence: Include any evidence supporting your appeal
3. Review: The appeal will be reviewed by an independent panel
4. Decision: The panel's decision is final and binding
